Working with Kym has been a great investment in my health. I grew up as a swimmer but had never done much with strength specifically until I started with working with Kym.
Kym helped me identify what areas I could improve in, and designed a plan that would help me prepare for canoeing and backpacking trips, and prevent injury.
As my life transitioned from guiding trips, canoeing and coaching swimming to sitting at a desk, so too did my needs. Kym helped me set goals and create a program to counteract the effects of desk work. What I like most about her approach is that it’s educational and collaborative.
Rather than a prepackaged formula, Kym has taught me how to think about the structure of a workout, the value of different exercises and movements, and how to organize goals and plans. It’s really empowering. Her ability to clearly communicate the depth and breadth of her knowledge of athletic training is impressive. Plus, Kym is so curious and takes so much joy in what she does that working with her is just really fun.
